As it's known, babies are allowed to eat solid food as of 4 months. My baby was not very keen on homemade solid food at all and my first experience giving her steamed carrot puree was to have her vomit in my hand. I then tried drugstore baby food in jars and it went much more smoothly. Later I realised that I had not added enough water to the puree to make it liquid. My poor baby had difficulty switching immediately from milk to thick solid food. Having learned that I became more and more creative and took advantage of my baby's great appetite.
Like most adults, my daughter has a sweet tooth and preferres sweet to savoury, I add lots of vegetables into her morning smoothie and she still eats two bowls of this mix every day. I put all the ingredients in a blender and mix them thoroughly. Since my baby does not like chunks I pass it all through a fine sieve and feed her 1 bowl for breakfast every day and her smile says it all.
