A few months before our wedding we started looking for Persian food catering. Recommended by our Iranian friends, Saman catering was our one and only choice. I had tried their food in a few Iranian parties before and the food was absolutely delicious.
We contacted Mr. Saman Ansari and he was more than happy to give us advice on what dishes and how much of them to choose from for our Dutch-Belgian-Persian wedding. We had a variety of mixed grills, lamb shank with dill rice, traditional aubergine and lamb stew and Persian jeweled rice for main. And of course a huge variety of dishes for the side and starter; some of which were yoghurt and cucumber dip, Persian marinated olives (zeytoon parvardeh) and green kuku (kuku sabzi).
The food arrived later than expected and left our guest very hungry but thanks to our music band they just kept dancing until the food showed itself from the back door. The Dutch, the Belgians and even the Persians were spotted sitting behind their tables licking their fingers that night.
Beautiful garden, tables set under the walnut tree with sweets and flowers hanging off the trees, the sound of live violin and guitar playing gentle classic Persian music mixed with the sound of laughter and joy, my wedding planner MiNeStyling setting the cake table, lighting candles and finger-licking good Persian food ... what more would I wish for as a bride.
De Aardige Pers catering has countless variations of traditional Persian food and appetisers. The staff is friendly and polite and owner Saman has a vast knowledge about Persian food and provides helpful advice when it comes to selecting the party menu. This catering was on own initiative without invitation or payment by the restaurant.
